DEAREST MOTHER, 1930's-40's MOTTO PICTURE, in creamy tones, 5 x 7", gold and white wooden frame, "Dearest Mother, Down in my heart, dear Mother; Down in the deepest place, I keep the treasured picture, Of your dear familiar face; And I think of your sweet devotion, And the care that I can't repay, So I am wishing you every blessing, Down in my heart today." excellent condition but does on have original hanger or original backing paper (original backing board is there though and picture back has not been opened)    #MO30078    $15.00

ALL TO MYSELF 1920's ART DECO MOTTO PICTURE, by "BUZZA MOTTO", very colorful with metallic gold  border around the motto, a romantic pair (early Renaissance period, perhaps?) with a castle in the background, 7' x 10",  wooden frame is blue and gold, has original hanger, backing board and backing paper but the seal has been broken on the paper, motto is in mint condition, frame has wear on the color and gold    #MO30686    $28.00...

... A FRIEND ..., BUZZA MOTTO PICTURE,  dated 1942 on reverse, reads "Buzza Motto Copyright MCMXXV" on the bottom of the picture, "A friend is one who takes your hand, and talks a speech you understand, He's partly kindness, partly mirth, And faith unfaltering in your worth;  He's first to cheer you on success, And last to leave you in distress: A friend is constant, honest, true -- In short My Friend, he's just like you!", by Edgar Guest, good condition, blue background has a couple spots that have gone pink (not sure what has caused that) and there is moderate wear on the frame, reverse has  recipient's and giver's name and the date    #MO30050    $15.00

.

FRIENDSHIP'S ROAD, BUZZA MOTTO PICTURE, 1930's with daisies, flowers path and cottage, gold foil accent around the motto "Friendship is a chain of gold, shaped in God's perfect mold  ..." , 1939 inscription in ink on the backing paper on the back of the print, light stained wooden frame with brown in the recessed steps of the frame, original Buzza hanger, 8" x 10", good condition with some dark spots around the motto from the glue that holds the foil accent in place    #MO28981    $15.00

THINKING OF YOU!, RELIGIOUS MOTTO PLAQUE ON WOOD, PS 112:6, 6" x 4", good condition with mild surface scratching, someone wrote on the back of the plaque but that does not effect its appearance in the front    #MO30851    $10.00...

EARLY 1900's (I think maybe 1910's) MOTHER MOTTO PICTURE IN OAK FRAME, with an Arts and Crafts / Mission era look to it, sepia tone picture of "Whistler's Mother", metallic gold trim on print, gold wash on frame, 7" x 11", gold wash on frame may not be original but it has been there a very long time, "published by Morris and Benden N.Y.", print is in near mint condition, frame is in excellent to fine condition with slight wear on paint, slight wear on corners, and a crack in the wood on the upper left that detracts some but is not a glaring fault, overall the picture looks great    #MO28250    $28.00

.
1940'S "FOLKS I LIKE" MOTTO PICTURE, 7" X 9", fine condition,  there is a "dent" at the top of the motto, but it does not show up much    #MO25958    US  $17.00

1920's - '30's SHABBY CHIC MOTTO PICTURE WITH VIOLETS, " A FRIEND LIKE YOU", 4 1/2" x 5 1/2" (outside of frame), cream gessoed frame with silver highlights, original backing and original hanger, excellent  condition with maybe some yellowing of the print (maybe not because the gesso is cream, so it might have been cream to match the frame), and some wear on the gesso of the frame    #MO26331   US  $12.50
.

A MESSAGE TO MY MOTHER, 1940's - 50's MOTTO PICTURE, in metal frame with easel back (no hanger), 4" x 6", fair condition with the spotting on the print as shown in the photo    #MO30843    $6.00...

.

1941 (?) "HOME BLESSING" MOTTO PICTURE, 3 1/2" x 5 1/2", looks like it says "1941 with the publisher's name and N.Y.", plastic instead of glass, very good to fine condition with considerable wear on the outside of the frame and some light scratches on the plastic    #DC25386    US  $8.50

IN LIFE'S GARDEN, MOTTO PICTURE, "copyright 1918 R. R. Volland & Co. Chicago" on the bottom left, in wooden frame that I think was originally brown and gold, poor to fair condition with very little paint left on the frame and a tape mark on the print as shown in the photo    #MO30847    $6.00...

MOTHER, 1900- 1910's, MOTTO IN A METAL OVAL FRAME, I think this was a postcard, frame was originally black and gold, 5" x 6 1/2", fair to poor condition with much of the paint worn off the frame and some rust on it, also the hanger is gone from the back board so it will take some jerryrigging to get it to hang (usually I hang wired from the metal tabs of the frame)    #MO30848    $10.00...

MY MOTHER, 1940's MOTTO PICTURE,  in repainted silver wooden frame, 5" x 7", Reliance, NY, good condition with some light foxing (spotting from age) on the print and some wear on the paint of the frame    #MO30849    $12.00...
