IN FLANDERS FIELDS, 1920's  WORLD WAR I MOTTO PICTURE, poem is credited to Lt. Col. John McCrae of Montreal, "Reinthal & Newman Pubs. NY", "courtesy o f G. P. Putnam's and Sons", there is a "222" on the bottom right (I do not know what that is), in a black wooden frame that has wear on the paint (an easy fix), has original backing board but no backing paper, 7" x 10 1/2", good condition with only a few irregularities in the color of the paper and then the wear on the frame    #MO30835    $27.00

GOD'S MASTERPIECE, 1920's - 30's ART DECO MOTHER MOTTO PICTURE BY MAURINE HATHAWAY, verse praise "Dear Mother Mine", pastel and metallic gold background with brighter colored and metallic gold verse, great blue and gold frame, 7" x 10", very good condition with only light wear on the frame   #MO30837    $22.00

TO MOTHER, 1920's - 30's ART DECO MOTHER MOTTO PICTURE, verse by Edgar Allen Poe in praise of Mother, pastel angels in the background, green reddish-brown and gold wooden frame, 6" x 6", original hanger has been replaced by a more modern one, excellent condition with mild wear on the frame    #MO30838   $20.00    SOLD

1920'S - 30'S ART DECO MOTTO PICTURE, about the best and the worst of us, published by the House of Art, NY, No 159, 7" x 10", in original gold-tone wooden Art Deco frame, original backing board but no backing paper, original hanger, excellent condition with mild wear on the frame and a few spots of soiling that really do not detract much (they might come out, I have not cleaned under the glass)      #MO31143    $24.00...

1920's - '30's ART DECO MOTHER MOTTO PICTURE, slightly raised printing with metallic gold, mottled background, goldtone Art Deco wooden frame, actual motto is not blurry -- I just scanned it and as it is sealed in picture, I could not take it out to scan the motto closely; 7" x 9", excellent condition with slight wear on the frame    #MO29035    $26.00

1930's FRIENDSHIP MOTTO PICTURE IN ART DECO FRAME, actual motto is not blurry -- I just scanned it and as it is sealed in picture, I could not take it out to scan the motto closely; reverse has a framer's sticker "The Little Krafts Shop, R.R. Freer, Ithaca, NY", 7" x 9 1/2", excellent condition with some very mild wear on the frame    #MO28988    $24.00

1932 MOTHER MOTTO PICTURE, like Marigold, might be Marigold but there is no signature, bottom left says only " ... cago & N.Y. ... ure frame co.", 7" x 11"; very good to good condition, something was nibbling on this as 3 of the edges are rough and it really no longer quite fits the frame  (it is very close so there are not glaring gaps), the bottom left corner-edge area is the worst, there are places where the topmost layer of paper of the print is gone exposing overly white patches (especially noticeable on the bottom left), there is overall yellowing and a couple of spots of foxing (spots from aging - kind of rust colored), the frame is in excellent condition with very slight wear; even though it has difficulties, this picture still looks pretty good, I am pricing only slightly more than I would for the frame alone    #MO28251    $23.00

1920 - 30's VERY COLORFUL ART DECO MY MOTHER MOTTO PICTURE, verse by John Irving Pearce, Jr.; "Reliance P. F. Company, New York , Chicago", 6" x 8", in great Art Deco frame, excellent condition with some very mild wear on the frame, a few stray marks from the printing process and a couple of foxing spots (aging spots) on the paper     #MO28990    $25.00    SOLD

1930's MY MOTHER MOTTO IN METAL FRAME w/ METALLIC GOLD BACKGROUND, 5' x 7" including frame, good condition with some smudging or soiling around the "m" in "My" in the title and in the cloud on the right side of the picture (these might be soiling on the inside of the frame, they might be printing process smudges and they might be permanent soiling,  there is light wear to the frame, the cardboard hanger that was built into the cardboard backing has torn off so right now there is no way to hang the picture -- people usually get around this by using the stick 'em type modern hangers as the picture does not weigh much    #MO29902    $14.50

MOTHER'S LOVE, 1920's - 30's ARE DECO MOTTO PICTURE, wooden frame, picture is in metallic gold, black, white and cream; 7" x 10", has original backing board and backing paper but someone taped it all up so we will probably lose the backing paper trying to put the brads/nails back in (they are out, but I will put some in before shipping), has original hanger, good to very good condition with spots on the top right and spots in the middle on the bottom of the print, minor wear to frame    #MO30842    $18.00 ...    SOLD

1930's - 40's MOTTO PICTURE, A HOUSE BLESSING, 5" x 7", gold colored wooden frame, actual motto is not blurry -- I just scanned it and as it is sealed in picture, I could not take it out to scan the motto closely;

God bless the corners of this house
And be the lintel blest;
And bless the hearth and bless the board
And bless each place of rest:
And bless the door that opens wide
To Stranger as to Kin;
And bless each crystal window pane
That lets the starlight in;
And bless the roof-tree overhead
And every sturdy wall;
The peace of man, the peace of God
The peace of love on all.
