GOOD
SHIP ADVENTURE, R. ATKINSON FOX FRAMED PRINT OF SHIP, signed, original
period piece but I am not certain of decade, NOT A MODERN REPRODUCTION,
wonderful original hexagon art deco frame in green, gold and brown; 13
1/2 x 17 1/2" outside measurement, original backing board is still in place
but the backing paper is gone, fine condition with some light overall wear
on the frame plus some heavier wear on the bottom left (see photo of frame),
also there is a very small spot of water damage on the very top of the
print (see photo on the left, but this is very difficult to see in reality),
and there is a larger spot of water damage on near the boat (see photo
on the left), neither of the water spots are glaring and you have to look
to see them at first - then, of course, you can usually see them easily
#RAF15821 $75.00 as is
NOW $65.00

PALS,
SCARCE R. ATKINSON FOX 1929 CALENDAR OF BOY AND COLLIE, not signed Fox
but this is in the Rita Mortensen Vol. 2 identification guide, paper hanging
calendar with metal top, calendar portion is stapled on, whole print and
calendar are 13 1/2" x 20", Fox print area (it is printed right on the
sheet-- not applied) is 8" x 10" (not including the colored borders around
it,) Fox portion is in good condition with the one crinkle/crease
(looks worse in my scan than in reality, but it is there and it does detract),
as a whole the piece is in good to fair condition, the top of the
sheet is tearing away from the metal top, the paper hanger is worn and
may not hold the calendar any longer (I have not tried), there are tears
and nicks in the edges all the way around, there is some mild soiling on
the sheet (not on the Fox area or the calendar), calendar has a dog ear,
lovely print -- looks better than it sounds #RAF30083
$45.00

1930's
Unframed R. ATKINSON FOX SHABBY CHIC COTTAGE PRINT, "The Boughs Are Murmuring
In The Breeze", no signature, 10 1/4" X 12 1/4", NOS (new old stock), near
mint condition, pattern is from my scanner and is not really there
#PR2111 $45.00
PLEASE NOTE:
I cannot find this in either of the Rita Mortensen books, but I am really
very good at spotting artist styles. I am more likely to miss crediting
a work to a particular artist than I am to incorrectly crediting it. I
really am confident this is R. Atkinson Fox. Also, other dealers
who specialize in collectible illustrators have said it is R. Akinson Fox
with the same confidence I say it.
