AN OLD TIME CAKE WALK, 1897 LARGE CHROMOLITHOGRAPH BLACK MEMORABILIA PRINT, shows an old time barn dance with musicians playing a banjo, accordion and some kind of castanets; except for the face of the banjo player, the features of the faces of the people you can see look to be exaggerated; many of the faces are in darkness though because of the light coming through the window, this is a gorgeous print; it is printed on very thick paper, it has to be shipped flat because it will not roll, 20" x 13 1/2", excellent condition with some bumps along the edges and on the corners, a shallow crease on the bottom left corner, and a light scratch on head cloth of the woman behind the lifted hands of the dancers, the scratch goes into the barn area above her head too    #BA28830    $125.00    SOLD

SCARCE KLUMPE BLACK MEMORABILIA GOLF CADDY DOLL with original label and original tag.  I do not know his exact age, but I think he is from the 1950's.  If anyone knows more, please let me know.  This caddy doll is a great Black Memorabilia collectors' piece.  He is very much a stereotype with his exaggerated large lips, cigarette and slouching.  Not many of the collectible Klumpe dolls were Black Memorabilia pieces.  Klumpe dolls are stuffed felt over wire made in Spain.  The faces are some sort of hard composition with, I believe, handpainted features.  The eyes are applied glass or plastic.  His shirt looks to be cotton.  His pants and hat look to be wool.  I think everything else is felt or yarn.  He can stand on his own, but like all Klumpes -- it is not a sturdy stand.  He has his original Klumpe tag as well as original price tag.  He came from an estate of non-smokers and he was stored in a glass front library bookshelf (no attic or cellar smells for him).  He is 11" tall.  Based on other items in the estate, I think he might be a souvenir from Pinehurst in South Carolina, but I have no proof of it.

He is in very good to excellent condition.  He is not at all faded nor does he have any damage to the doll.  There is no fading or soiling.  I do not see any defects except for the woolie moth holes in his pants.  He has 4 of them total.  2 on the back of his pants as shown below, then one very tiny one next to his left pocket and another small one (smaller than either of the 2 shown) on the inside of the crotch of the pants.
